I-35 x186 in OK, west side of the highway. Its a small mom-n-pop t/s with a dirt lot and an attached mexican restaurant called Macarena (lol, I know..) It's nothing fancy but the family that runs it is super friendly and the food is great. They've got warm chips with salsa and queso on the table immediately, the sweet tea is pretty good and my fajitas were ready within 10min. The marinated steak was very tender and juicy, onions and peppers were done right, and the guac was fresh! I finished with a sopapilla and thanked everyone for a great meal. Stop in there sometime and support the locals wherever you go!

Post up your favorite Mexican spots on the road, I love me some arros y frijoles...

I love Mexican food, but haven't found any good places to get it while in the truck. The Valero on I35 south of San Antonio used to have awesome tacos, but not anymore. I usually try to find a roach coach parked somewhere with a cook who doesn't speak English- that's where to get the best tacos.

Some of the best huevos rancheros I've ever had are at the Stage Stop Cafe next to the Pilot in Hesperia, CA.
Have them every time I go thru there.
Actually, all their food is really good.
    Not affiliated with the Pilot.

As much as I love Mexican grub, I always think about the street vendors in Tijuana/Juarez etc. that have all the ingredients right out there, uncovered and not refrigerated. Including meat, which is being heated up with a propane torch. That's why I only eat cheese enchiladas at Mexican restaurants, never hot food off a roach coach. Where do they use the restrooms ?

I35 exit 85 Dilly Tx. right next to the motel on the east side of the road. Plenty of parking and great food and prices.

The best Mexican food I ever had came off a roach coach in an industrial park in Laredo.

I-35 at exit 84 (state hwy 85) in Dilley, TX. There's a restaurant called The Porterhouse inside the Valero truckstop, and they make very good TexMex.

There's a fantastic Mexican restaurant across from Flying J, and next to loves at exit 140 in Oklahoma City on I-40, there's a t/a and a pilot on the same exit on the other side of the highway
