Good old Bills one of my favorites, always stop in if I'm in the area and hungry. Yeah I've stopped at the Tomahawk for years and what about that paridise in downtown Laredo.

Obviously you don't get off the beaten path much in NC. Stop into any 'country cookin' type restaurant in NC that's 10 miles or more off the Interstate, and it will look like Bill's. Things don't change much around those parts.

As many times as I've driven by the place, I've never stopped there. But it couldn't possibly be any worse then that rat-hole (particularly in its last years) that used to be in Fredricksburg, VA at the 133 off 95.

Went in there one time. Once only. That was enough.

some of the best food you could shove in your face in that neck of the woods, folks are always nice, i stop there regularly. yeah, the place is a little dated, and maybe a little run down (i noticed the last inspection score of the restaurant was 94% BTW...)

the OP needs to keep on trucking to the Pilot in Kannapolis, and enjoy that wonderful parking lot.

you want to experience the grand pooh-bah of #### holes, stop at the 44 truck stop off I-20 in SC

Rumor has it they used to run a cat house out of there controlled by local law enforcement. It got cleaned up when Gerald Heagy was elected sheriff. He is the same guy who painted the jail pink to mess with the prisoners. That guy was a crook too. Got to love the local politics.

You realize they buy their food the same as every other restaurant right? Bulk generic brands from food distributors. There's nothing that makes it any diff from other places. Sorry to bust your bubble. Similar to the placebo effect. Cus it's "country cookin" it's somehow better than one that isn't.

Maybe but then again maybe not. You are far more likely to get some fresh vegetables from the owners garden at Bills than at a TA or Petro.

    luddybuddy Thanks this.
