That's my favorite place to stop when I'm out that way! They have the best Hunt Bros. pizza in their little convenience store, too. And will fix it any way you want it. Usually stop and eat at the restaurant and get a pizza to put in the fridge for later.

Lol.
You'd never go back just because the showers were scary? Stop in for the food and shower someplace else.

Ingenious idea, that Hunt Bros. pizza. They can accept EBT for the pizza because they sell it frozen. Then they offer to prepare it for free after it's been purchased. So it's a way to skirt the government's prohibition on purchasing prepared food with food stamp benefits.

Bill's TS, I took a ten hour there once. The photos look just like I remember it. Old school truck stop it is. I felt the same way about the hall way up stairs...thought a hooker or a ghost would appear any moment. Good food, fair price, that night the waitresses in the restaurant were busy, but they knew how to hustle. They kept a check on me during my meal even though the place was packed. I was so impressed with my waitress's work ethic that I left her a $10 tip.

Good point. I'd go back for the food. Liked their burgers.

Upstairs in the lobby they had quarter video machines. I think the feature movie was something about a guy and a chicken.

The paneling was old even then.
You really did not want to know what was behind those locked doors years ago

Been here a few times, never noticed there was an upstairs. The food was good the one time I ate there, other than that its a place to park.

still has a great plate lunch. Yes this truck stop has been around, I remember when they had porn movies upstairs for the drivers back in the 70's and early 80's. But do stop in for the food, it is good.
