I may be a rookie, but I don't frequent those truck stops except to get fuel because my company requires me to purchase fuel there. Maybe it's because I am a littler longer in the tooth, but I like to support the mom & pops. I stopped at the TA in Lee Hi Saturday & was happy that even though TA bought the fuel & repair bays, the owner wouldn't sell the convenience store or the restaurant to them. They didn't want to have to serve TAs menu. Love it! The food there is good & it's about a mile off I81 & can't be seen, so most newbies won't stop in.

Have you been to theJessup,Md Ta? That place reminds me of the movie..The Shineing"(Jack Nicholson) OMG talk about creepy showers! Starts with a creepy elevator ride, and the showers were built in the 40's or 50's and it always seemed someone was lurking in the background,AND JUST YUCCKY! Hotel was in place any other time I went,or slept in truck and partied at the 3 nines, and used a buddys shower there. But I hear the 3 nines closed down, used to be a great place for bedbuggers to sit and tell lies for a few hours over pitchers of beer and boiled shrimp.

So I stopped here last night, good blt but man the parking lot is f'ed up. I'd say 20% of the spots were dropped trailers, then there were about 10 dump trucks taking up space, mind you it was 10 at night but whatever. Decided to park on the dirt at the top of the hill next to the one way street that leads into the lot because the only other spots i would have probably ended up losing a fender or hood or worse. Now it was a little ways off from the actual building but i hook up two bungees together and i dont care how hard they try, nobody is getting in those doors. So i drifted off to sleep to have a dream about knocking, turns out some ####### was pounding away on the door, really fast, like they were methed out of their minds, so i just stayed there, after about 3 minutes of this rapid fire knocking i was getting more than a little teed so i cracked the airvent in the sleeper and screamed out the side, what the f do you want? no response, 10 seconds later, rapid fire knocking resumes, once again, scream at this ####### to stop ##### knocking on my door and go away, another minute, knocking resumes, i had enough, got up, grabbed my bat and hit the lights, nobody there, i was ready to hit a home run with that crackheads head but i guess they decided to go bother somebody else, or else.. the ghost of meth past? i dunno, really annoying, not balming the truck stop, i just hate when #### like that happens

Yup, describing this truck stop as 'creepy' is spot on. But the thing I'm really concerned with is that somebody could wind up getting seriously hurt there if they're not paying attention.

Near the fuel island, as the pavement starts dropping down to the lower level parking there's a very steep drop off. If you're walking too closely to the left-side (near the building) and not paying attention you could take a step and literally your foot wouldn't find pavement for about 8 inches (the drop off is that severe). Somebody is going to get killed walking down that hill.

you'll have to keep in mind, the place was designed/built back in a time when people actually looked where they were walking, without the distraction of a cellphone.

I don't think its creepy at all just stuck in the 70's, but the food is excellent. If you don't like Bills then you're probably not going to like the YUM-YUM SHOP at exit 62 on I-71 in Ky.

Remind me again how ME not paying attention and falling down and breaking MY neck is someone else's fault?
