I believe it was exit 117 on I75. They had a great plate lunch and usually you could fine the owner there working the tables. Had a nice little truckers store also. Man I miss those old mom and pops!!

I remember it down in a hollow and foggy all the time but that was four score and seven years ago! It was ok but I did not like stopping there cause it was down in that hollow and would take awhile to get my GMC astro with a 318 rolling again!!

Yeah it's the 117. It's a ghost town now. Pilot built across the street and put them out of business. The next exit north is my short cut thru the woods around Knoxville going home. There is still a little mom and pop at that exit. Nothing to brag about. Just a C-store with about 12 parking spots.

I remember that place. Parked to take a nap. That parking lot was on a hill. Slept #### near standing on my head. Short nap

Does anyone remember the names of the waitresses working in the old Raccoon Valley Truck stop. Also do you remember a trucker for Roadway named sleepy head?

I didn't even know the truck stop was gone. I hadn't traveled to Florida in year's. When I did travel there I always stopped at the Racoon Valley Truck Stop for my needs. I still have my ballcap from the Stop. It's crazy how thing's change.
