This is an old hold over from back in the old school days of trucking and for a while was not bad. That was until about a year ago. The place is old and has that look,a real dive but their BBQ was very very good. Last two times I had it, I actually refused to eat the crap and got my money back.Tasted spoiled and smelled bad. Heard from another driver who got sick off it. This is a food poisoning law suit waiting to happen.
Do yourselves a favor and leave this truck stop to die,its time has come and gone.

That's the one. North side of exit 221.
Sweet peas used to have a great rib/catfish Buffett until it was sold to non-American interests. The middle easterners who run it now have no interest in quality...just want to get by as cheaply as possible. -
yep this place has turned into another rat hole dump

I have only stopped at Sweet Pea's once to take a nuisance break. I would not use it for much else. I did not eat the food. My favorite part about the truck stop was the fact that they had Brim's and Golden Flake chips.
The truck stops on the other side of the highway are a little better. -
If you want good catfish or BBQ, stop at Nicks at exit 183 in Carlisle. That's some good ####.
