It finally happened. The truckstop at 5b on I95 is a Travel Centers of America. The restaurant is now 24 hours as it should be. They are in the process of redoing the showers with 2 done so far. The parking is free right now. They will be knocking down the old store by the fuel island.
I had the Cajun white fish with the mixed vegetable and it was good. The 2 new showers were on par with the other TAs that have been redone. The shop will reopen soon but don't know when.
Heres to hoping the parking remains free. That will build this locations business back up. In turn will mean the food will be fresh in the restaurant like it is now.
Rhode Islands only 24 hour truckstop is now a TA!

The restraunt/bar across the street from this truckstop has great food...

T/A would be an improvement.
Maybe in the days long past it could have been nice. There was a whole separate building that was padlocked. Looked like a store and possibly a restaurant in there. -
This place was never "nice". It was just there.

Parking is free. Restaurant is open 6am to midnight they have road squad up and running but shop is not open quite yet. The showers are finished but the drivers lounge is not finished yet. Not much of a store though. Very limited choices for drinks and random stuff. They closed that buding by the fuel island.
Again parking is free! With tons of space. -

So you scaled on the brand-new Cat scale? They are still in the process of remodeling the main bathroom. About another week or two on that before that's finished.
Also the Southington Connecticut TA is remodeling their bathrooms. The men's room should be done this weekend and then they're starting the lady's room. That Toilet trailer outside is Horrible. Just a heads up. -
