The Pilot off of exit 374 in Knoxville has 3 self checkout kiosks. The girl behind the counter said they were the first store to get them. Hopefully we'll start seeing more of them, standing in line behind a guy getting a scale ticket and cashing a comcheck when there's only one cashier isn't that great.

Great, more jobs lost to technology. It's gonna be so fun when the self driving trucks come out and all truck drivers are out of work.

Congress needs to pass a law making all these robots and crap illegal. Yes I know it sounds crazy, but I'm serious. What are people supposed to do when robots are doing all the jobs?

1 more reason not to go to a Pilot (Besides the fact they are crooks and did not stick to their contracts).
If I want to work at store and run register I'll put an application in I am sure not gonna do it for free.
I'll stand in line thanks anyway.

I suppose if you LIKE to be an unpaid lacky for a truckstop they are ok. But for what I am paying to get stuff there, they best have a human handling my money transaction.

I was there in Lebanon Tennessee the day those things were installed...8 months ago. Lot's of suits from Knoxville hanging around and helping to work out the bugs. Must have been a colossal failure because I have yet to see another Pilot with them installed.

Isn't going to happen, In cities with an almost automated transit system there are people running into in all the time, there will have to be a person on board to monitor what the truck does.
