Doesn't everyone have to deal with clingy cashiers? I carry a spray bottle of vinegar water in my fanny pack just to keep them away.
Sometimes I'll wear stained shirts that don't quite cover my belly, and skip showering but that just drives them more crazy. They pretend they are not interested at all! Yeah right baby girl, I see right through your little act.
Maybe it's just me, I am a sexy beast.

When I had my last truck I had a fridge and microwave in it, I cooked 95% of the meals I ate in there, I used paper bowls and plates and aluminum foil, I can cook a lot of food that way, and do so on the cheap.
Really why the heck would I want to go to a truck stop and pay 12-18.00 for a meal that is not that well prepared or good for me when I can eat better off of what I cook.
Right now I am putting a new truck together, and im working on getting a custom sleeper setup so I can get back into this routine, it doesn't mean living like I am in the wilderness, it means taking good care of myself and watching my bottom line.
I can prepare a meal in the truck for less than 3.00, why in the hell would I spend 12-18 at the diner?
Just using a median number of 14.00 on average per meal including a tip, that is a difference of 11.00 per meal. take that times 3 meals a day, 365 days a year, that is more than 12 grand!
Considering I am paying 130 grand for the building I am buying, that is about 9% of the total cost of my building, that means in 10 years just cooking for myself will pay for a building! In other words, you could pay cash for a house by not eating at the truck stop.DoneYourWay, bergy and Lepton1 Thank this. -

I posted almost the identical post a month ago. The steak you buy is better quality than the truckstop meat. The potato and asparaus are probably fresher as well. You know where your hands have been and what food handling practices you've used.
Better tasting, better quality, and safer - for 1/2 the cost. I'm with you 100%. -
I went into the TA tonight and they had a "Big Ben Ruben" on the menue, since when in the he-double hockey stick was a ruben an British sandwich anyways? Saurkraut and Corned Beef, not a British creation folks. And naturally it was mediocre at best.
I really can't wait to get my fridge and microwave in the truck again. -
I hate to say it, but pilot's spicy/cheese hot dogs are one my guilty pleasures!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think those greasy truckstop hot dogs are the reason so many bathroom stalls have crap sprayed all over the place.
The poor guy couldn't hold it before sitting down.
Any food product that high in fat isn't even real food. -
