get a truck stop guide and it will give you a few of them, as for others you just have to find them or find a website that list some of them

For those that 'save' money by cooking for themselves in the truck......

My question to you is why?

Most Americans go to work everyday. Then go home and the Misses has dinner prepared...

Why should you as a driver (Who works even harder and longer) sacrifice a good Home-cooked meal by preparing it yourself?

i get it..Truckstop restaureants are a little expensive........But the last thing I want to do after a long day is fiddle around with pots n pans cooking my own dinner..Thats complete B.S.

if my Wife isnt cooking...Then someone else is.

if you cant afford a good meal at the truckstop at least once a day........Your NOT making enough money

Driving a truck isnt "survival of the fittest"...........Some of.You guys act like your out in the Wilderness living off the land and Nickle and diming yourselves......

NOT A WAY TO LIVE driving a truck. Drivers...Quit settling for Less

there have been days where I got a good meal more than once....been weeks where I was spending about $20 a day on eating out but then decided I would rather use that money for other stuff. Im also saving right now to get a house so every bit adds up. Its not about nickle and diming myself or being able to afford it, my checks are fairly decent so thats not my issue. I also dont like to rely on getting somewhere to get a meal or sometimes I just dont have time.

I cook better food then the trash you can eat in almost every truckstop
even if it is just warming up some Panera bread soup
I take care of myself first always just ask my wife :biggrin_25519:

I have cooked steaks, pork chops, and warmed up countless other meals using only my Road pro lunch box food warmer. Don't need pots and pans, just some aluminum foil to line it and you're good to go.

You can also use the turkey bags in the lunch box cookers. Very easy clean up and the bags will not melt. The small weber grills fit nicely on the cat walk for grilling as well.

I enjoy driving, I really do. But I don't want to drive for the rest of my life. I plan on retiring by the time I'm 50. To do that I need to control my spending. If I have a choice between eating by myself in a restaurant while on the road or with my girl when I'm at home it's an easy choice. I always ask "what's going to lead to my highest quality of life"? Eating at Dennys is never the answer to that question.

Besides my girl's a horrible cook. If I came home every night after work I'd still do the cooking.
