Several times I've seen drivers scarfing down hotdogs before they get to the cashier. The increase in price won't affect them.

whats the price going to? Havent seen any increase posted anywhere. What can the drivers do? Take weekly Walmart trips like I do and actually make your own food and save a ton of money. I love my portable oven since I can do a lot in it, I cook lean pockets and other frozen items, even cooked salmon in it a couple times and rice. I also have a butane stove I use to boil water, heat up soup, sometimes actually cook etc.

I won't patronize a pilot/flying j, not as long as there are mom and pop fuel stops, get better service, besides pilot/flying j has to recoup the money they had to pay back from screwing companies out of fuel rebate. Personally i hope they go bankrupt!.

People actually eat those? Wow. Yuck. Those should be $100 a dog from what they do to your body.

I cant lie I have grabbed a hot dog for a quick meal more than once but I try not to, lately I strap my oven on top of my ice chest and throw something in then 30min later eating it going down the road or when I make a stop.

First of all; I think most drivers would prefer to support the "Mom & Pop" joints---you DO get better service, and the atmosphere (to me any way) makes you feel more appreciated.
Unfortunately, there are far too many trucking companies that dictate where the driver is to fuel the truck, and they have no other choices. Yet another reason to like small trucking companies that give you a major fuel card and says "fuel where you want, just keep an eye on prices".

Since Flying J merged with Pilot, and Petro with TA....they most likely will NOT be going bankrupt any time soon.

As to the original topic: I like hotdogs.

In my short time on the road, I always found the most attractive ladies to be at the mom and pop stops.
