Yeah, Pilot totally ruined that place. When the Navajo Nation ran it as Giant, they took pride in that place. Now it's pretty much fubar.

I like the Nelson Bros Petro2 in Clearwater, Mn. I always feel welcomed and appreciated, and they make killer ####tails in the restaurant...

Indeed, they have a huge lot and the food is pretty darn good too!

The PetroScranton (I-81, Exit 178B in DuPont, PA) is another good stop with both lots-of-parking and good food... I love that buffet AND they've got some pretty darn cute waitresses as well. This place is much better than the over-crowded and over-priced Pilot just down the road.

I'm glad that becoming part of the TA network hasn't ruined that place.

It probably hasn't changed much since you were last up there. The fuel pumps are full service, and while I've never sat down to eat there, the restaurant is always busy. They sell the scale diecast trucks I used to play with as a kid. They're neat but I ain't paying $115 for a lowboy plus another $85 for the dozer to sit on the deck.

I grew up in Idaho Falls. Tigers or t*ts as the locals use to call it was good.
It is now called KJ's, a local chain of c stores, and this one has Mitchell's. A great home cooking restaurant, where locals have been going to for 30 years. Spent many an hour there as a teenager, hanging out drinking coffee all night.
US 20 at Lewisville rd / Holmes, exit.
It's clean and comfortable there. dirt parking lot, mechanic shop next door, non Cat scale on site, 2 miles north of shopping (fred Meyers)

Yeah, but being a TA hasn't ###### it up like some places. :)

It's still like it's always been.

Just to be technical--the owners of LeeHi--bought Whites--& then entered into a licensing agreement w/TA/Petro
Both stops are Still independently owned---next time you fuel at either notice how the fuel receipts haven't changed......and LeeHi has always been quieter since it is about a millisecond of the beaten path therefore remains much as it has always been cept for some TA signaged--Whiteys on the other hand.......Used to be a favorite of many of us---now I jus roll by &shake my head

Johnson's Corner really good. Little Americas are great for showers and parking.
