Gramma's is good.... a bit over priced in my opinion

 

You don't stop in Nebraska much do you? Of ALL the truck stops in Nebraska that's the best one. Sapp suckers has never come close and when you're headed west you stop at GI or you drive to the Colorado line. I used to fuel at that pilot 2x a day they're a lot better than most of the other pilots I've stopped at. Don't want to wait at the counter swipe your fuel card and rewards card and then visit the kiosk and get your receipt. That's what I always did.

I've seen the islands back up a few times there, and even the 400 spots they have out there aren't enough, but that's probably the biggest truck stop in this state and is by far the nicest. The T/A at York isn't too bad but I boycott T/A because of their fuel, otherwise you have 80-120 miles east to hit shoemakers or sapp suckers in Omaha, or like I said you have to go clear out to Colorado. You want a waste of a truck stop? Take the 397 all the way down to the truck stop north of Beatrice. Make sure you bleach yourself after you use the rest room. I'm loyal to the employees there, because the are great people, but the owner has completely screwed that place up.

I'm bias but I can say bosselmans is much better than the98% of the other pilots I've had the mispleasure of stopping at to put fuel on. Least you can get in and out of the fuel islands without playing musical trucks. Missiouri comes to mind very vividly just west of St. Louis.

 

Now I'm confused. According to your first post you stopped in Nebraska????

 

Man, we love that Bosselmans in Grand Island. It is clean and large. We never eat from the
'hot food' section in a truck stop, however. For a truck stop, it is one of our favorites.

 

You don't like the urinals? I used one the other day without incident. A urinal is a urinal, even if they are placed in the middle of the restroom instead of along the wall.

 

No refills on pop, last time I was there. And that's why I haven't been back.

 

It was better before Pilot took it over, but, that's most of them.

 

I remember being stuck there for two days with my trainer when 80 got shut down from the Iowa line all the way to Utah.
