Oh I drive a concrete truck out of Oak Park and go everywhere in the city! Was going to the nice area of Independence and Gladys almost everyday for a month straight last summer..... Then from there it was months and months of work over in the 79th from 1800E all the way over to Ashland or so. Dealt with all that crap all over the place!

Just a month or 2 ago that shooting down on the south side where the off duty deputy was getting gas and shot the banger in the head who was trying to rob him, remember that? Guy I work with was on a night job maybe half a block away when it happened?

And a short cut I take whenever I am in the area is the 5th avenue cutoff from Pulaski over to cicero to jump back on the Ike. See some "company" walking around there during the day time hours LOL!

Gotcha. I just know the history of that neighborhood(Bridgeport) and know that back years ago it was all Italians over there pretty much. I just meant heritage, not immigrant, sorry about that.
