To the OP, in some cases....what initially appears to be disrespect to fellow drivers or improper etiquette, might actually be innocent. If it turns out that actions are from laziness than say something to the driver in a civilized manner as it might be that the driver has not been confronted before. If a fistfight breaks out....Has it been worth it to go to jail over ? Calm Heads always are the winner in the end.

I tell ya....Its Getting real bad out here
i have a excellent theory on why society in general is like this today...
You have 33 years on the street...I Have 24 now, The reason for so much "me,me,me" And anger and Grouchiness is People are in a Hurry because the way society has financially structured itself to make it very difficult for folks to live the american Dream, And /or live comfortably without "killing" themselves..
You Probably started driving in the early 80's late 70's......Notice the Huge Diffference?
Truck Drivers were Happy,Helpful and 'Took the time' To assist. Not Today (Now these are generalizations)
Why? Because back then, You didnt have Federal and State Financial beuracracies lOOKING for ways to generate Further revenue From People.
Today..Every Year its a New Tax, New Law Or Fight just to Keep your head above water.
A Truck Driver in 1980 Could Buy a Home Put their Children through College, Own new Cars every couple years without Overworking Himself,...... CANT DO THAT TODAY.The way society has financially structured itself!!!
Everyones out for themselves, Today. And They will Honestly Watch you Burn alive rather than help. Sad,Sad state of affairs the USA has become.Joetro Thanks this. -

I've confronted drivers before, not violently. I go up and ask if they already got fuel, then, ask them if they can pull up. I educated a driver of a box truck the other day who had fueled, gone inside and came back out. I told him once he fuels, that he is supposed to pull up so other people behind him can fuel. He didn't seem to know. I don't know if he just agreed and thanked me to get me going, or if he will do the same thing again. But I try. I never approach hostile, I always ask if they're done fueling as a 'conversation starter.'
I think the best thing to avoid this, is charge a deposit of $5.00 to enter the fuel island. You only get it if you pull off within a certain threshold. It would take much work to get the details, I'm just throwing an idea in the air. Is $5.00 trivial for some? Yes, just a silly idea.
I really don't have the perfect solution to be honest. If I were manager, I'd be out there making people move. Profits from fuel? I'm more about principle, its one of those things that really gets to me. -

Yeh, the DEF tank on the wrong side, I look silly now, I got it. Why is KW/PB doing this? I've yet to see any other trucks like this. How do you get backwards in the fuel island? Do you get in line facing the wrong way, then back in when the truck in front...I mean, the truck BEHIND you pulls up? This is interesting.
