This was in New Caney, TX. First, I pull in, there is a roll off getting fuel facing the WRONG WAY on the fuel island. What an inconsiderate jerk. Fuel islands are one way. I pulled in a different lane and waited for fuel, albeit I should have pulled right in and blocked him so he would have to back up and go out the correct way. Why should I be inconvenienced to convenience this selfish, arrogant jerk?

Then, another company truck parked on the fuel island for 30 minutes. The driver is inside the truck stop, the co driver in the passenger seat. The driver comes out, pumps fuel and then sits in the truck for another 10 minutes before pulling out, NOT PULLING UP, but pulling out and leaving the truck stop. For 30 minutes PLUS, he sat there. I took the liberty to call the company and tell them about their inconsiderate driver. I would encourage all of you to do the same thing. Snitching? You bet. Do I care? No. He could have done three things: 1. Fuel up and have the co driver pull up and park. 2. Fuel up, then pull up, then go inside. 3. Fuel, pull up, grab your food and use the bathroom, then get in and park in a pull through parking spot until its time to go.

This FLying J is a one way in and one way out. Near the entry/exit drive way is a yellow striped line that says no parking. When a truck is in the fuel island and a truck is behind it, the only way to get in and out is by driving over this yellow "no parking zone." Some retarded Stevens driver decides to park there, with ALLLLLLL the parking spots, at least 100 plus spots open, many of them pull through, he decides to park there.

Then, after I got done getting fuel, some unscrupulous people in a Cadillac SRX come up and ask me if I want a home theater system for 'free.' I said no thanks, then he said, it's free. I said, "Free?" He says yes. A total of three men in this vehicle including the driver wearing polo t-shirts for an audio company. They were selling a home theater system, claiming they some how got some extras for free, they were in their bosses Cadillac. The driver opened the hatch, and showed a nice box with factory vinyl strap on it which meant it was sealed still. He showed the sticker on the bottom with "MSRP of $1,990.00." Bottom line - this was cheap made in China crap, there was no name brand on the box, no guarantee anything was in the box. It then went from being free to "getting rid of it cheap." No thanks!

A whole lot of frustration. These truck stops need to do some enforcement and put an end to the fuel island and parking games. I can't blame them for that scammer, but they need to start having an attendant out there.

Ever think that the truck that pulled in the wrong way has the def tank on the passenger side? many of the first trucks had the def tank on the passenger side, and it is either pull in the wrong way, or use the pump beside you, so that you are tying up two pumps, since J uses 1 card reader for both fuel and def.

No excuse for the "team" that tied up the fuel island for 30 minutes... But you are assuming the person in the passenger seat is a driver.

Did you see the Stevens truck park there, or just maybe that is where he parked in the wee hours of the morning, because the parking lot was full, and he was out of hours.

    Just things to consider.

Yep, just another day in the truck stop. I don't think there is a day that goes by that I don't see some inconsiderate jerk blocking the fuel lanes. It's really frustrating when you are waiting to fuel or can't get out afterwards.

Scammers abound around truck stops, trust no one and you will be of the right mind set to deal with them.

I call inside to have them move the inconsiderate people, I'm not here to play or have my time wasted by some fat POS that cares nothing about others once he gets his.

    Agreed. Agreed. All agreed.

A trip to a truck stop now does nothing to improve my situation - unless I REALLY need to take a dump.

And yeah, maybe - just MAYBE, the rolloff had a tank and side issue.

Why? So they have to raise the price of fuel which in turn raises the price on EVERYTHING all because you were inconvenienced a little? This is the real world and you are going to be disappointed? Ever consider that the rolloff had a def tank on the passenger side? Time to put on the big boy pants and get over it. If you can not deal with this little bit of frustration, how are you going to be in stop and go traffic? Why did you not get the license number and call the cops on these home theater guys? Hell you are part of the problem with guys like this by even taking the time to look.

I have been places where my card would not work and had to go inside to pay. There have been times where there was a 15 minute or longer wait because of an inept cashier or just plain long lines.

There are consequences for every action. Ever heard the saying? Yeah it is true. Many people wanted the government to step into different aspects of our lives and now they are in EVERY aspect of our lives. Every action creates a response or even an unintended consequence so think long and hard before you ask for something.

I don't know how long the DEF hoses are, but I would assume they would be able to reach. It seems KW/PB are the baboons that managed to put this on the wrong side. Good point. But is this reason enough to pull in backwards? I've seen a Millenial Transport in a Cascadia do this at 1 AM, didn't even both to dim his head lights while parked. I don't think he was even getting fuel, just parked to go inside.

The Stevens driver pulled in after 10 AM. Even if the guy in the passenger seat wasn't a driver, I'm sure he can still watch the fuel nozzles while the driver goes inside and put the nozzles away when the tanks are full.

Just to clarify, there is a difference between making a mistake and having someone call in and you. When it comes to behaving badly, that's a different story. I was at the Loves the other day and some people decided to make their own parking spot which would block people from getting out of their space in the morning. The driver came on the CB and told them he would be waking them up in the morning if they were still there so he could get out. He even knocked on their doors, one person did it and a flock of 2 other trucks lined up to join in on this too. The driver even said that the store manager told them to move and they wouldn't. Was this true? I don't know.

    This.

I pull into the fuel island "the wrong way" or use the pump in the adjacent lane because I am not going to pay 2+ times more to buy DEF off the shelf when there is bulk available and because the manufacturers and retailers couldn't get together and say, "hey, let's make sure we only locate the DEF tanks on ONE side or the other," and/or because the retailers couldn't figure out that not every truck is the same and they were too cheap to add another 4-6 feet of hose to their bulk pumps.

So, for the OP, get over yourself, you're not that important.
