Not only that, but the F/F is Quiznos, which is pretty well non-standard for TA. (In fact, I've never seen a Quiznos in any other TA.)
Then there's the Iowa 80. Only thing TA took over there is fuel.

Landline had an article / news release from T/APetro.......deal is final but not inked.........and I wouldn't look for the restaraunt to change right away.....they have a HUGE local following. Great place.

Most every truckstop I've seen taken over they leave everything alone. They are more concerned with the sale of fuel.
SMTatham Thanks this. -
Stopped there for the first time yesterday. Plenty of parking - what? lol At 9pm it was backed up with trucks double parked everywhere and clouds of dust stinging your eyes so you couldn't open the windows.
Couldn't decide which loyalty card to use either. They are a Sinclair Ambest TA/Petro affiliate?? Actually the only current signs of being a Petro are the ultra-one kiosk, the life-sized cardboard cut-out of shower cleaners found at every ta/petro, & a hot case...
Restaurant still had an independent menu, but I wasn't impressed with the food. -

That dirt lot is why I never stop there. truck comes out dirty just driving through.

My first exp. with Johnson's corner was in the late 70's, after we moved to Co. Dad worked for a lumber yard and some Sat.'s I would go with him, if we went North, he and the other trucks would all stop there for breakfast. Always liked the place, sucks that it will change.
As for food, I will stop at McD's before I will eat at the Denny's in PFJ/Cheyenne. The food is boring, overhyped, not what I want. Wanted steak and eggs one morning, Denny's doesn't sell it, ended up hoping on 80, driving to Hillsdale, eating at the T/A Country Pride, then coming back to 25 and heading N. to my customer. Yeah, I drove 2 hrs (rnd trip) out of route, but Denny's had Zero appeal to me. We have a customer in Genoa, Co., when I do the early pickup, usually 7 am, I will leave Denver 45 minutes early and eat at the T/A in Limon, refuse to go to the PFJ there, heck I'd rather eat at McD's in Limon.
