Nothing stolen but one time I was parked at a rest area, cant recall location, and about 8am i feel the truck move like someone climbed up the steps, then the door opens and in climbs a young blonde. She said ,oh sh%t, this isnt my truck. Out she went, I went back to sleep and dreamed of her:) Same company, same color truck and her key worked in my door..pfft

A sunny Sunday afternoon in Denmark, TN at the TA. I scaled my load and parked next to a truck in the parking lot, went inside, got my scale ticket, went to Subway and got a sub. Walked thru the restraunt and a old man was looking at me,walked thru the parking lot and the truck beside me was pulling out.
My key didn't feel right in the door, I looks around and the iphone is in the holder, gps and cb are in place, BUT...... they grabbed my old Kindle that was charging with the usb plugged into the iphone charger.

Next day I had a new Kindle and a new charger for the phone. Amazon said if anyone turned the wifi on on my old Kindle, that it would be erased, who knows.

There are all sorts of sleazebags hanging around trucks, and truckstops. Some are actually drivers, others, not.
I don't tolerate anyone jumping up on the step of my truck to talk to me. Too often you'll notice them surveying the inside of the cab, looking at whatever electronic stuff you may have. Some are just curious, some are making a mental list, others are checking to see if you are alone, have a co-driver, or maybe a dog.

I've had fuel siphoned, many lights stolen, even a fuel cap (that had an intact chain) stolen, hoses when I pulled tankers, straps, chains. Anything somebody wants or can sell, somebody will steal.

I don't tolerate 'friendly' truckers I don't know. Keep the XXX!!! away from me. Too many of my friends have been mugged or robbed right after the 'Hey, Driver' greeting....and it can even happen in a company terminal.

It is HORRIBLE enough that the dangers of physical assaults, sexual assaults, and murders are lurking at our nations rest areas and truck stops.

It is even MORE HORRIBLE that these same dangers are lurking at company terminals
