    Well. Well. Well. What can I say. I stay away from buffets, with the exception of Fogo De Chao, which technically isn't a buffet, but a Brazilian steak house. I can say I will never again go to this "Golden Corral". The food, which is most important here, is absolutely horrible. I mean it's just not good. It's like they didn't even try. Fish was rubbery, chicken was tasteless, I could go on, but you get the point. It's bad. Anyone who wants these in every truckstop needs their heads examined. Now on to the customers. These were almost like pigs at a trough. It was like every man for himself. As if they didn't ever see good before. And it's Sunday, many dressed in their church clothes. You would expect a little decorum at least. Not a chance. Needless to say, that was my first, and last time at a Golden Corral. For $15.50, they could have at least made it good. But then my expectations are high.....

    I got stuck in Laredo on mother's day weekend and stayed at a motel 6 off the 35 next to a Golden Corral. The one in El Paso isn't too bad. The only problem is every Mom in the greater Laredo area was being "treated" to Golden Corral. With nothing within a reasonable walking distance on my side of the freeway and not wanting to risk fate being a pedestrian crossing the road in Laredo, I decided to wait. After 45 minutes of being sandwiched between two abuelitas who clearly don't think you can put too much perfume on and being mad dogged by fathers who should be more concerned that their daughters are dressed like bar skanks than about guys who may or may not have looked at them, I went back to my room and ordered a pizza.

    I've eaten at the one Joseph is referring to on one occasion....wasn't bad that time around. But the prices of eating out have just gone bonkers (along with so much of just the cost of living nowadays), that I eat almost exclusively out of my truck. Very rare for me to eat a meal out any more.....

    i had breakfast there a few weeks ago $9.50 it was good. but it was 630 am and they just open sure was a lot of food out on the buffet and only 3 people in the place..so who knows what it like after seating around 2 or 3 hrs...

    One of the biggest problems w/franchise&chains...
    rarely any consistancy.....there are some real good Golden Corrals.....if you get down to Cordele Ga.....the one across from the Peelot in town is excellant.....and they let you park out back :)
