stopped at the T/A at 35 and 71 in ohio Tuesday afternoon. looking my truck over and found the right front spring broke at the shackle. had an over size load on grossing 140000lbs. walked in and asked the manager if I could drop the trailer to go and get my spring fixed. he absolutely said no and threatened me he would tow it if I did. (he was on a power trip) I had just bought some cigars before that. so I turned around and layed them back on the counter and asked for a refund from the clerk. after she gave my money back he asked why I did that. I told him I could not support an establishment that would not support the very customers that support him. walked out to my truck and pulled across street to a large lot and dropped my load (after getting permission) and went and got repaired. wont be back there ever again!

I'm not a fan of T/A in the first place but I have never had an issue dropping a trailer at any T/A... I'm guessing you caught him on a bad day... Is that the smaller T/A that has a blimpie sub shop?
Good job on returning what you bought for a refund, I would have done the same.superhauler and TruckDuo Thank this. -
Definitely a dick move on the managers part. I understand not wanting people to drop trailers overnight/days, but a couple hours would not have hurt.

they have a shop there at that t/a. think about it. you wanted to drop your trailer on their property, go somewhere else for a repair and use them for parking, for the price of some cigars???
you are joking about this right???? did you even ask first if they could repair it?? -
