I stopped at the Torringston Truck/Auto Plaza, Torrington, WY last night. I had a sirloin dinner and it was excellent. It was thick-cut and perhaps 14 oz. with all the trimmings and coffee for less than $20. Imagine this - a truck stop serving a great stake at a reasonable price. It's on US26 - last town in WY on the NE border.

I-77 in NC at the Mount Airy exit. First exit south of Virginia. The restaurant at the truck stop there is locally owned and all the vegetables on the buffet are southern style made from scratch! Best truckstop buffet on the road anywhere in America!

Stopped at Dysarts in Bangor ME a few years ago and sampled their wonderful breakfast.
Something you rarely experience in any restaurant was home made ham for breakfast with the usual scrambled eggs etc. the ham was nice and thick, exquisite. At a reasonable cost.
Just a shame they didn't serve lobster at the time, for lunch so I had to bobtail into Bangor fir that.
One of the best TS meals I've had ever.
