Oh yeah? Why's that?
I would do the Netflix if it didn't use so much data...we bought the month long subscription to the wifi at loves and pilot over the summer and it was really a waste of money most of the time....have thought about adding a tailgater but they are so expensive. ..and we don't ALWAYS need the entertainment but on occasion we might be stuck for an extended period of time and things get boring lol
Why not have a red box?

Redbox is not going anywhere. Here in Texas lots of Dollar General, Freds etc have them and they do a land office business. Totally automated, an attendant drops by to change the titles, if you keep it more past 9 PM after the day you rent it, they charge your card another day, until you bought the movie for $20, the maximum charge.
They have them in lots of Walmarts, who sell the movies for $5-$20 inside the store, and they still do well. They would work fine at a truckstop. Just drop them a line and I'll bet you see them...
Not everybody has the ability to download movies, their internet service is shaky in lots of rural areas, or not available. -

The Nintendo generation getting more and more keen to torrents has pretty much killed any dvd or blu ray business. Couple that with the eleventeen million online streaming sites and red box has one foot in the grave and another on a banana peel.
stabob Thanks this. -
1.20$ (where I'm at) per day for a normal dvd, 20 days out, you own it for the normal sale price of 20$ PLUS all the rented time. (So that adds up to (1.2*20)+20=$44)
Could've changed, I haven't read their TOS in quite a while.
As for torrents and so on, some of us "have" to keep our noses clean... And in my case, someone paid to make the movie and put the effort into it.. Least I can do, even if they are already millionaires and rich out the ###, is honor their hard work with a couple dollars. Seems like a fair trade to me. -
I doubt redbox goes anywhere anytime soon and I'm sure they just haven't had the idea of using truck stops yet maybe we should start emailing them and let them know we would love to use their kiosks ifbthey would put them in truckstopd

I did email corporate Loves and they responded by saying it was a good idea and that they would forward the idea to their Operations team.....so maybe they will take it into consideration! !
