Down at a truckstop in Terrell Tx I was waiting in line behind a couple at the Subway counter. I forget exactly what they ordered but the girl making the sandwich is probably a highschool or college student and pretty good looking.
I did not notice it myself until the girl in line is telling the guy with her that the sandwich girl was not wearing gloves and that they should say something. The guy though was like, "Don't worry its nothing".
They ended up getting the sandwiches but that got me to thinking. If a young hot looking girl is making the food then somehow that is okay. But if it is some barehanded old fat guy then the food is contaminated and gross.
Despite my figuring this out that there really should not be a difference here, I went ahead and got me a sandwich anyway.
Do you really care if the Subway sandwich artist is wearing gloves or not?

Subway will make me sick, I don't care if they have 6 pairs of gloves on.
-
Good looking people do have it easier in life, general speaking.
They probably would have given the 35 year old male with dishelved hair and acne a hard time about the gloves. I might have Subway 1-2 times a month and I notice they've all worn gloves.drver60021 and EZX1100 Thank this. -
When I worked at sonny's bbq, we used gloves to prepare everything.
But if you go to most fast food chains, they don't use gloves. They're just required to wash their hands.
I also agree that the person's appearance has a large impact too. -
Well I get Diarrhea anyway, gloves or no gloves.
Back when I worked at Wendys around 2000 we were required to wear gloves when making Sandwiches.

I said most fast food chains.
McDonalds, Burger King, Krystals, and sonic are a few Ive seen them prepare my food without gloves. -
Food workers often don't wash PROPERLY. Even after washing, fecal material (big EWWWW!! here) can still be hiding under long fingernails. Me personally, if they aren't wearing gloves, I'm probably not going to eat there. I know around my neck of the woods food service workers are required to wear gloves when preparing 'ready to eat' food at all times anyway so it usually isn't a problem.

I could care less if someone is wearing gloves or not. Most all cooks don't wear them. I've survived for MANY years with people not wearing them.
On a side note.
When my son was in little league we had a small building where they severed hot dogs and snacks. The parents had to take their turn working in there. There was this married lady Nadine. She was really HOT. She always flirted with me but never meant anything by it. Just to embarrass me. When she was working and I asked for a hot dog she would put it in the bun then lick the whole length of the dog.
Hell ya I ate it.sherlock510, KiLLaZiLLa93, albert l and 5 others Thank this.
