Snowshoes Thanks this. -
the video was uploaded in 2012, but with the number of cabovers, it may have been an older video. he was in some great movies.

Aw, this is kind of sad. Ernie Borgnine was one of my favorite actors, He could play any role. He would come to the Circus Parade every year in Milwaukee and dress up like a clown, and the children (and adults) loved him. I agree on the question of the date of this, as he died on July 8, 2012.

I figured it was earlier, I found it today and it was loaded in 2012. I just thought it was way cool that even though he played Dirty Lyle in Convoy, he respected the drivers in real life.
Maybe I should have titled it Earnest Borgnine Flying J...Date unknown...Last edited: Jan 20, 2015
He was 95 when he died, he doesn't look 95 here. He had a hot looking wife too of almost 40 years.
Yes he did. AND.... He was an extremely talented person! You can tell here that he is a genuine person. Really cares about the people that made him who he was."semi" retired Thanks this. -
Also in 1996, Borgnine toured the United States on a bus to meet his fans and see the country. The trip was the subject of a 1997 documentary, Ernest Borgnine on the Bus. He also served one year as the Chairman of the National Salute to Hospitalized Veterans, visiting patients in many Department of Veterans Affairs medical centers.

When he walks through the TV room, he refers to " is that the trial on the TV?". He must be referring to the OJ Simpson trial, which started in Jan of 1995 and lasted until August. Given that it is warm out in Iowa, shirt sleeves and all the date is probably Summer of 1995. He was 78 years old at that time, died in 2012.
Here is the wikepedia on it:

By all accounts a great guy.Snowshoes and "semi" retired Thank this. -
Yeah I was thinking the same thing about "the trial" mentioned on TV.
