Yeah go ahead and mention that the girls are cute to the bbq man himself. Last time I was there someone shot something to that effect, though a bit more crude and no one was overly pleased about what was said, least of all the bbq man since those are his daughters.

http://tennesseantruckstop.com/ This place has excellent BBQ as well as friendly smiling service. They have a part of the lot that's fenced in for your pet.The BBQ is delicious.Last time I was there I bought 3 servings.Think there is a real small Pilot off the same exit. Not even a good place to pull in to turn around.

I'm not a big rib fan, but their food is good, there's one next to the Loves in Corbin, KY!!!

If I'm passing through around lunch time, I always stop at the Tennesseean, great BBQ, good people.

I've had the ribs at Sonny's in Corbin. You're right they are some kind of good. I'm glad you reminded me. In fact, this is a good thread with tips for places I didn't know of.

Cochran's in Ringgold, Ga off I-75 and US41. Next to the ChooChoo truck wash. Had the chicken and ribs to go. Very good smoke, not overcooked, good selection of to-go entrees made fresh all day. You can get full for under $10.00

Sonny's make a pretty awesome sauce, but their BBQ isn't really that good, sliced brisket is almost inedible, ribs, meh ... slathering it with sauce makes it all good.

That's a must stop for me when I go through Jackson.

Call in your order on the CB. Log off duty. Pick up your meal. Creep over to the Love's to fuel. By the time you get to the pumps you've eaten and your half hour break is taken care of.
