Something about good barbecue. I have a related thread started to help find the "one" that got away. Any others you can think of that we can get to? I recall going through Texas 2 summers ago and stopping somewhere outside of Lufkin going toward CA, bonafide truck stop with real TX BBQ, who can beat that? At the time I was not in a position to chronicle my journeys, but now I will. So Let's hear it. It would be nice if you could put the state/region in the title, maybe throw a price on the place with your experience there, what was best(or what wasn't), and how the access/parking was I.E. service road parking, big lot, etc. Thanks.

There is a guy that serves BBQ from a heated cover on the back of his pick up, he stops on 3 Flags road next to the Pilot in Hesperia, CA. He has some really tasty BBQ. He advertises on the CB, and his portions are HUGE! I always have enough to last for lunch the next day.

Soulman's BBQ, Van, TX, I-20, exit 540. I believe they have a few truck spots, but it's right next door to Love's. I've been there a few times and I always get bbq'd chicken. It's really good and would be under $10, but I'm a sucker for pecan pie so it's somewhere in the $10-11 range if I remember correctly.
