I deliver in Miami tomorrow morning, and am stuck down there till Monday Morning.

I have the option of going up to Fort Pierce...or staying at the 595.

Can anyone comment on how good or bad the 595 is? Will I be able to find parking there on a Sunday afternoon? I know there is a fee unless you buy 75+ gals of fuel. Are the showers decent? I heard some bad things a couple years back about the 595 but they supposedly have new owners now. Truck stops in Ft Pierce/Vero Beach are nothing special either.

I may end up reloading produce from South Florida Monday, that is one reason I would pick the 595.

If there's a even a remote chance of reloading I would not even consider going back north that's over 200 miles unless you'll be paid for that.

There is also the Seminole trk stp on US 27 south of I75 in Weston. Pay there too but not as far back as Ft Pierce.

Its not a real pilot, they only sell pilot fuel, and it has little parking.

The is another Pilot off the Fl 826 ( palmetto expressway 8-10 parking spots) near 27th Ave

Fuel prices are high there. Make sure you fuel up before you get to far south so you don't have to do it there. On the other hand, evaluate cost of fueling there and staying free (See how long you can stay). The staff was luke warm when I was there last. I got stuck on Friday evening with a load I could not drop until Monday morning. I did not want to pay to stay the weekend so I drove around some Friday evening and found a nice spot to hide out for the weekend. Did not get bothered at all. Wish I could tell you where it was. I can probably find it again myself next time but no chance I can give directions to it. Next time I find a spot like that I'll make sure to GPS it!

    Good Luck..!

Hey, just about everything is more expensive in South Florida...As for the lukewarm staff..they are probably tired from working long hours at a truck stop to make ends meet. Try this, put on a big smile and let em know you appreciate them being there so you can take a nice break and see what happens.

As a local driver here in Miami...I can tell you there are only a few off road overnight risky parking spots and the walmarts are not truck friendly....
