AC and T Fuel Center good home style cooking

    I gotta give a shout out for this large truckstop in Hagerstown, MD off I-81, exit 5b (Halfway Blvd). A friend of mine told me they've got good food at very reasonable prices. I've eaten there a few times and yeah, it's like home cooking. You can get a half of fried chicken, two sides and a biscuit for under $8. Their fried chicken is really good. Real mashed potatoes and the green beans taste like they're off the farm. This place rocks, it's always crowded with drivers eating in the large dining area. If you're hungry check it out, you won't be disappointed. They've got a large variety of foods and I'll report back after I've sampled some of the others.

    I Agree, awesome food for the price, and much easier parking and more room than the typical soup sandwich charlie foxtrot pilot across the street.

    Showers are $8 and pretty nice. Free wifi that works very well. about the only place I look forward to a 34 hour reset.

    Just take a look at the company as a whole and you'll see that pilot moving in next door wasn't much of a threat. I'm thinking it's boosted the restaurants business because so many drivers walk across the street to eat.

    When we're going through Maryland we make a point of stopping at ACT. If all mom and pop truck stops were run like this then we wouldn't have so many chain truck stops.

    Cool beans. Yeah I stop in now every time I'm picking up a Tractor Supply load for USX. Which is often, you know. And so much for the search function. I looked for a thread here about AC&T before I posted, was surprised I couldn't find any. Guess the mods can merge them if they want.

    It depends on what you searched for. TruckDuo writes it as ACT and if you searched for AC&T or AC and T I'm not surprised it didn't show up. the search feature can be a bit picky.

    What I found works best is to go to Google and put in whatever your looking for and also put in Truckers Report.

    TTR search is terrible.
