Sorry. Bit of a rant, but.....I've had it with these two. They always seem to have some sort of computer system glitch when I try to be a customer. Whether it's a fuel pump that won't read my card (same fuel card other places read just fine) to having to fight with them because their system was down and 200 gallons of fuel got me no shower, to fighting with them for a shower credit when my company spends hundreds of dollars getting a tire or oil change...now this a.m. in Monee, IL....I didn't have a shower credit, so I went to pay cash at the kiosk (since the clerks aren't suppose to accept cash at the counter for showers) put $10 in, waited for it a second because it wouldn't take any more cash...the system locks up and reboots and my $10 is g-o-n-e. I go to the clerk at the counter and present my case only to be given the same b.s. line...you have to wait for my manager to come in...why, you can give me a shower ticket from your register...I'm sorry sir, I am not allowed to accept cash for showers at the register...I'm not asking for that, I put my money in the machine and it screwed me, all you have to do is print a ticket...you'll have to wait for my manager, who comes in at 7...I can't, I have to deliver down the street at 7...I'm sorry sir, there is nothing I can do...so you are encouraging me to do business elsewhere then, very well.
Yes, I can afford to lose $10...but this on top of closing large truck size stop's restaurant's early and general pizz-poor customer service is why the Petro T/A gets $0 of my company's fuel money, and now $0 of my money as well.

like most places they have their good and bad. sorry for the 10$ loss hopefully corp will straighten it out I suggest presenting your fuel receipt next time for a shower

That's one of my biggest gripes about Petro/TA; the stupid kiosks. Seems like half the time, they are down for whatever reason and if you're in the main building you have to walk all the way to the fuel island or vice-versa. They need to dump the kiosks and put the card readers at the registers like everyone else. Oh, and maybe hire more competent individuals to man the registers. They're as bad as Pilot or WalMart. five people fiddling around behind the counter and only one register open. Loves may have their challenges, but at least they seem to keep the register lines moving.

Customer service is going right out the window. Just had a problem at a TA as well. Went in to get morning coffee and they were out of chilled French vanilla cream. I told the clerk and she said, is their chilled plain cream? Which there was, she said just use it. Instead of putting her phone down and changing it. I asked to speak to the manager, she said I am the manager. Just walked out.

I stopped going to TA and Petro. I think I've made enough noise on how bad they suck.
