I've been turned off by Love's before by some of their...micro locations. I've been to a few that didn't really have room for the pumps, let alone truck parking. I went to one where you needed to be at a somewhat precise angle to get through the pumps, around the corner of the building of course, and if the guy on your left didn't pull over far enough, you can't do it... Never been so pissed off as when I tried pulling through and got had to back up after trying, not being able to see what was behind me or around the corner I was next to...

Those are the older Loves ... generally down in the OK/TX area.

It looks like they are giving immediate discounts with the PFJ card at affiliated restaurants, although I haven't asked at Denny's yet, they have discounted at most of them for awhile now, even the non truck stop locations.

Denny's usually has their own little card...

I managed to "bribe" one off a waitress at a truck stop after she said they don't give them out normally. ...from the looks I've gotten when it's seen by management I'm guessing she wasn't joking. I'm not sure why, 10% isn't that much. (In the grand scheme of things sure, but we are just a minority of workers...)

If anyone is interested then pm me. I might be able to send a picture of the barcode if you can't get one yourself. The only Denny's locations that still take the pilot card are the "old" ones and those seem to be changing over fast.

The ones in places like Elk City, OK, Gallup, NM are tight hellholes. But a lot of the "newer" ones like in Conneaut, OH, Richmond, IN are awesome! Plenty of room and parking and they do it right

I haven't been out here that long, but I'm getting the impression Love's is trying to climb to a higher place in the ranks of the chain truck stops. I definitely enjoy some things about Love's, but I wish they would steal a few things from PFJ. I really love the kiosk at PFJ for example. I don't want a key for a shower, I want to get a ticket from a machine, lol.

I don't mind a key, but using the kiosk is handy simply from the standpoint of if they've got a line 6 people deep... Well if I want a shower I want to get in there fast!

+1 advancement, screw the kiosks. Put card readers at the entrance of the shower room. Swipe your card and that's your key. Don't have a credit? Swipe your credit/debit card. Done.

All in all, I still think I'd rather talk to a human.

What I like most about the kiosk, is I can use some of my absurd amount of PFJ showers for pooping. When I have to go get a key, someone sees that I don't have clothes and am using a shower credit just for a clean toilet. I don't think there's anything wrong with it, but it might annoy them, haha.

TruckDuo, dtcscout and Vilhiem Thank this.

Isn't that what TA does? I know they have kiosks too but I've also seen card readers at the shower doors.

I've no idea, most of my showers happen at pilot while I'm gone. Schneider sends us only to pilot for the most part, so thats where all my shower credits are.

And as an update for the OP I went into a Wendy's earlier yesterday. I have a whole $.37 in restaurant rewards, I used to them for that transaction however I noticed that I did not get back any rewards. Usually, even if you use some or all of the restaurant rewards you still have some added back for your actual purchase. That was not the case this time, so I'm not sure what's going on.
