To follow up on that mind control theme, think about all the little keywords that get thrown about by trucking stakeholders--
    Driver Shortage
    Pay Raises
    Increasing Weight Limits on CMV's

All of these will go hand in hand to keep pay exactly the same as it always has been.

So what they will push for is another axle on your trailer, perhaps 4 more feet of length space on your trailer to haul more freight due to fewer drivers out there, fewer drivers haul more freight volume and weight of the missing shortage of drivers.

Pay the drivers more to haul more volume and weight, the numbers crunchers have figured out that the pay is the same or even little less than before but Joe driver thinks he's making more money but he's really not.

They push hard to sell it to the Transportation Committee-- 'there's one more axle of brakes on the truck, and 4 more wheels to distribute the weight so the wear and tear on the roads will be the same or less actually.

Don't fall for the mind control, identify it where it happens and think independently.

When a politician fires you up by saying this other politician wants to take your guns away, so you vote for him, that my friends is mind control.

At one point in time Mr Sam Walton said that trucks were always welcome on his property.
Now we all know that things change, but Bentonville HQ said that trucks were legal to park at their stores, now I don't know why some stores have no truck parking, I do know the one in Lonoke, Ar, was putting a no truck sign, but if you call Bentonville about it and enough do, the HQ may force the manager to remove it.

I think this woman is probably afraid of her own shadow and should stay inside of her home with the doors locked so she's not scared. But on the other hand I'm actually afraid of Walmart shoppers have you seen how they dress and what they look like

I try not to rely on a Walmart parking lot. It's a last resort .. They don't have showers and most don't have good coffee unless you make it yourself. I do buy there .. If parking is ok I do park then .. If I deliver to a store.. Which I do from time to to time. I'll park if out of hours.. I was told the reasons for not allowing it is the trash left behind and damage to the property.. Curbs break, landscape etc

Ironically, yesterday I seen a car accident in wal mart parking lot, the car driver put it in reverse instead of drive and crashed into the car parked behind him.

Where I live, certain trucks are allowed to park at the Walmart up the street. (Managers written permission and all that jazz. Some drivers are disrespectful and Walmart bans them but allows the ones that can "behave"). I overheard someone say that he was uncomfortable with them there..... I asked him how else was he going to receive the tissues he needed to clean the tears from all the crying about it he was doing? He said that they can be delivered to the store, just "not on a big a $ $ dangerous trucks"..... So after a WTF moment I asked how do things get delivered without a truck? (Expecting the usual argument; Trains, smaller U-Haul or a UPS style delivery trucks) he simply said, "I don't know.... It just needs to get here, I need my blah, blah, blah" (honestly I quit listening at this point). So totally sarcastic.... tongue in cheek, after an awkward silence I asked, sounding sincere, "So, what? A stork should deliver your stuff, like the one that delivered you? Or maybe Samantha should wiggle her nose and it appear?"
Not sure if what I said went to him or thru him, but nothing seemed to really click.... It was like the hamster was dead but the wheel was still moving.:biggrin_25512:

I parked at the Walmart in Weatherford, Texas the other day. Thankfully no one died.
