After 20 min of this guy filling his tanks to the top of the cap.. As soon as he got in the cab and started the truck you could see the tank vent just blowing fuel out along the path he was driving, thought i would share.

I've always topped the tanks off but a couple inches from the top.If DOT sees fuel spouting out like that, they'll put him OOS.

Its more of a problem of these CDL Mills feeding drivers to the industry at an alarming pace. Running through school that quick it's all on your company trainer to teach you how to be a truck driver, and if your company trainer is a bad trainer there is nothing to fall back on. That driver filled those tanks over 85% full probably because no one has told him different, and not because he's stupid. The fact he is fueling a truck owned by a company that hires students makes me think i'm dead on in my theory.

I fill mine over 85% all the time. I think you might have had a typo there and meant 95%. At least I am giving you the benefit of the doubt.

If no one ever hired a student then you would not be driving at this time. Most companies have hired a student at one time or another, they even hired you and me.

Aw hell, your profile says you are a student... LOL did not see that at first and you have the right to complain about CDL mills.... LOL

20 minutes? What was he doing, filling one tank and letting the crossover tube fill the other tank?

Yeah you are right 90-95% is a good number. I had forgotten that diesel expands at 0.00046 per degree. As for the student part my argument was more against CDL Mills rather than companies that hire students. I heard the feds are even concerned about the mills also and might start regulating them.
