Whenever I was routed through Little America, the thought of the
restaurant and the food served there made my mouth water just
thinkin' about it, --- all the way 'till I got there from where ever I
    was com
in' from. Then, after eatin' there, the memory lasted for
    days.
    :smt045

Speakin' of days, try spendin' almost two days there in Little America
when they've closed I-80 due to severe weather. Tourists and other
    travelers who didn't have a room or drivin' a 4-wheeler or a pee-kup
truck with no room to stretch out to sleep in, had the ultimate good
fortune when they were informed that they could kick-back on a roll
out mattress on the floor of the RESTAURANT --- all night and day
'till the Big road opened up again.

    HaiL!
I'da paid good money for a position on their restaurant floor. With the
staff still there with the rest of the stranded travelers, I know I'da
had my dream midnight snack prepared perfectly, --- causin' me to never
wanna leave Little America and disappear into Big America, ever again.

After a road closure, when the road opened up again, and it was half-past
time to go, I found something amusing to do to help the time and miles go
by faster, --- count all the Big red trucks, ..... on their top, ..... in a ditch, ....
with the wheels stickin' straight up at the sky,........ then, try to figure out
how the heck the Big truck truck driver(s) managed to get into that position.
I have to admit, ....... some of 'em stumped me. Couldn't figure out how they
got-er-dun, nor could I begin to imagine how the heavy recovery vehicle(s)
managed to get 'em outta that position and back up-right on their wheels.
When a voice sounds out from the inside of those Big red trucks, over the

CB radio, informin' everyone that they got their Big red truck to "turn over", ....
by golly, ... they ain't talkin' 'bout startin' the Big motor in their Big red truck.
They're talkin' 'bout the position their condition is in. Sunny-Side down, and
    over easy.

    Now see?!

Even that makes my mouth water. :coffee::coffee2::spam1::icescream::tongue7: :smt108:laughing1: :smt112

They might have closed the restaurant but let's hope they continue to offer some of the best showers in the business. If not, THE best!!

Little America, Wy. Is the one I started the thread on. It's still a great place, great showers, clean. I am going to miss the restaurant. It was a great place to relax

So I haven't been there seems like forever, but you're saying the hotel is there, the truck stop is there and the restaurant is closed ? That's weird.

The Little America on the west end of Wyoming has cold beer and food so Im guessing its this one?
