Jubilee truck stop in Portland OR I believe is the name. Good clean restaurant. Only been there once had pot roast and it was pretty good.

Brisket is dry, pulled pork is overcooked ... ribs are fair. It's only saving grace is pour enough sauce on it and it's edible.

Best BBQ I've found is KDs in Midland ... Bodacious on the other side of the 20 from the Pilot in Tyler and coming up 3rd is Miskas down on the 10 ... I found Bakers Ribs to be fair, there's one on the 30 next to a Pilot near Greenville ... for a nationwide chain, Dickeys is passable.

I don't get the fascination with Omar's. Been there twice. I'll say the service is great and the staff is trucker friendly, really nice people ... but gawd the food is awful.

You mean the Jubitz. I usually enjoy it, last time was less than stellar though.

    +1 on Omars/TTT

    and

+1 on Jubitz being hit & miss. More hit than miss, but still inconsistent. Good place to stage for a Portland delivery though -- tons of customers within that 2 mile window...

There is also Frog City on i10 in Louisiana. Good hot food & cold beer...

Huh...when I ate there the pulled pork was perfect and the ribs fell off the bone. Granted, I had babybacks. Haven't had the brisket.

Yup! I only been there once. It was awhile ago but the whole area seemed cool.

It's a great truck stop. The Portlander has its moments though. But the whole place is great.

it really is a small world
i know the original moe of MOE'S
first store was in Portsmouth NH for 50 years
grandkids franchised it but first store is still there

and if that isn't strange enough the 15 years I fished in NJ
we ate at the original location of Jersey Mikes
only real difference was there was no Mike
    guy named Peter owns that

in the 90's we would get a large sub from Mikes and a loaf of bread
was enough sandwich meat for both

Jersey Mike's still has great sandwiches no matter where it is. One of the reasons I like Jersey Mike's is they still make them like they do in Jersey.
