BP in Maxton, NC

Nice i know how the lizards can be I hope my husband does not stop there tell your husband to say away from the little truckstop in larado

 

I have had the misfortune of staying in that hole. I was early and Campbell wouldn't let me sit on their lot so I pulled in to this Hell hole. Lizzards, Dealers, and Bums everywhere!!!
I put a sign in my drivers side window that read
NO
MONEY
SMOKES
FAVORS
This detered most of them. The cops came thru once or twice but I think it was just because a driver or two called them but they arrested no one either time.
Just my two cents on that place

 

There is a nice place to park not far from there. No one will mess with you. No facilities, but it is about 3 miles from there. Used to be a scale, but they let trucks park there.

 

The hardees? I know of another spot closer.

 

What a place, it holds 15 trucks and has a dozen lizards and beggars.
Last time I stayed there, a "lady" jumped up on a truck as it was leaving. The driver rolled down his window to get her off the truck and she reached in and cut his face. He went over to Campbells to deliver, bleeding pretty bad. He went back to the truckstop and thumped her with his tire club. She ran off to the Campbell guard house,bleeding, the guard called the cops and they hauled her off.
The guard told me part of this and I heard the driver telling his story a week later in Indy. Small world, eh?

 

I am from this area and that bp is notorious, these proposition happen 24/7 in broad day light as well as dark of night, just wanted to warn everyone that in the past months these girls have spreqd to the hardees fast food resturant op refered too also, i really think the community has kinda comprimised with these girls and the dealers in allowing this to go on; Uve seen these girls get in feont seats of police cars for "friendly" chats.... this area is right off the I 95 corridor in lumverton nc( the halfway point between miami and new york where lots of people meet to exchainge southern coke for northerney, lots gets left arere mag you wouldnt believe how flooded this rural area is with fairly pure coke that sells cheap. Also there is a large populatiuo of native americans in this area mostly lumbees and to a lesser degree tusgora, who most people dint realize have their own soverign nation located within maxton( this means only federal law enforcement has qny authority and even then only by consent of office of indian affairs) And let me tell you lumbees are the craziest of the crqzy(i can say thus im 75% lumbee myself and while ive never been in serious trouble im the exception, on the mayhe 2 mile long road beside that bp i know of qt least 20 known "crack houses" and i mean commonlt known vy almost evereyone But these guys have been dealing for years out of the same house their father deqlt in and thought them to deal in for 20 years before that ajd most have never been busted; So as i said i think its a compromise of sorts well give you this area keep your drugs and violence in this area where it only affects your own people, messed up i know but its how i see it beung and let me say that if they ever try to stop these people they will need the national gyard at the least the indians are wid and dint care. And believe me they have arsenals to rival any swat. team and have proven they will yse themtme and again

 

That place is wild. Many of those girls knocking on doors are Indian girls & some look real good. Once I saw a mother and her 2 daughters door knocking at the BP. Once I saw the school bus stop & some of those girls started knocking on doors. They ones that didn't, walked into the sub-division behind the BP. Hardee's is the same.

I was unfortunate to stay at this truck stop. Before I even set my brakes I had a lizard on my steps. She asked for money for heating fuel. I told her I had no cash but I could buy her fuel. She got pissed because I wouldn't give her cash. After a minute of going back and forth I told her to get off my truck. She refused and reached through my window a smacked me to which I smacked her with my tire thumper. When I got out of my truck she was reaching for something in her pocket so I put my foot on her arm as I called the cops. She threatened to have her dealer shoot me. When the cop finally showed up they couldn't arrest her because they didn't witness the incident. I heard a driver got shot in the head by one of these lizards shortly after my run in. This stop is not very well lit. They kept me up all night. It is not safe even during the day. If you pick up at the Campbell's make sure you have enough time to get out. If you don't then reject the load or notify your dm that the load might be late. It's not worth your life.
