It would just be a pissing contest of who could bench press the most. Nobody would really get a worthwhile workout. If you really want to get in shape, you will find a way come hell or high water.

According to Travel Centers of America's facebook page... They are suppose to be opening 11 fitness centers this month & more to come next year. They didn't mention the actual locations though.

The companies I've worked for recently don't seem to want me to stop anywhere if I have Drop or Hooks. Even if I have plenty of time for my delivery or pickup appointment.
Maybe once in a while I could try to get in some treadmill during my 10 hour break but with such an irregular job schedule I don't really see myself getting into a workout routine. Just get on the treadmill with some music and try to run off some calories. -
This is making me re-think my decision to leave my current company. The place I work now has no qualcomm or tracking devices so they don't how long I break. But I put in my two weeks' notice for other reasons. I'm beginning to fear now going back to a qualcomm company. -
My last job was under a fleet owner and the boss' wife got really #####y about it if I didn't keep rolling. I guess they needed me to work harder to help pay for their lake house.

So do we have any updates to this?

There are select Petro and TA locations that have a fitness center inside, and some others that have walking trails. Other places, I'm not seeing much but I run pretty much the northern 2 tiers east of the Missouri,, there may be areas where there is more call and availability. A previous poster or several have mentioned lack of downtime and pressure to turn those wheels as reasons to not do extra healthful things for themselves while on the road.
These facilities at the TA/Petro are similar to what you'd see at a decent motel. Some have said if they are doing an extended time down, i.e.,a reset, or stopping a full day to get some significant hours back on recap, they will take a room at a place with a pool and other amenities. -
You see how truck stops keep their TV viewing rooms. You can be assured any exercise facility room is going to be more neglected then the TV room. Sweat allowed to dry on the equipment repeatedly?? No thanks. I'll take my chances by parking on the far end and eating less.

Check into a place like Planet Fitness. For $10/mo you can't go wrong and they are nationwide.
