Safest places to park are out in the desert NM,NV,etc.
Especially the free range areas where this is a pull off place.
only thing to worry about is a possible alien abduction.
What are the safest and most dangerous truckstops??

I finally hit the Little America in Cheyenne that I saw a few had mentioned in this thread.
Definitely a little different than the J, the Pee or the T&A. I gave up the free shower I had waiting for me at the nearby J to try this place out. I wanted to make it down to Johnsons Corner in Loveland, CO but wouldn't with my avail time.
Free WiFi out here in the Little America parking lot with a decent signal. The showers were probably the best I've seen so far with wall and floor tile and a removable shower head. Towels are much softer and the little soap they give you is imported from England. Fancy fancy. Found a parking spot front row at 7 pm. Easy. Pull in too. -

The majority of the truckstops are safe. Unless you get into one of those "areas"..... West Memphis, N Little Rock/Galloway, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago/Gary, a few in the SoCal area are sketchy along with the Bay Area, St Louis, Dallas/Fort Worth, MAXTON, NORTH CAROLINA (I think you can get herpes just by parking there) are a few of the main areas for bad truckstops. The stuff in NJ/NY/CT is really safe. People like to talk out their behinds about that area, but you really have nothing to worry about. Truck stops in New England are safe as well, just not many of them.

Im with you Joe. I've been to all those big city stops. And I haven't felt unsafe Anywhere except big ds or something like that outside of Dallas. If you play it cool and don't be a fool ... bad things won't come your way. Its easy to stay out if harms way.
joseph1135 Thanks this. -
Funny I see all these post that NC is a bad place to park......I have parked at the MM 157 Petro and have never had any issues. The rest of the stops are too close to home to have parked there.

I just got a message from my dispatcher yesterday saying there was a double murder at the Pride travel center in Chicopee, MA 2 days ago and we might want to avoid going there.
