I came into possession of a 1980 Ford 3000 2-Axle Dump Truck (14k lbs unladen) that I want to sell, but I have no idea what its worth...even after searching for similar models/years on the internet. Prices are all over the board. The truck runs well and the hydraulic lift works fine, although the truck is pretty beat up, its not really anything worse than I would expect for a 35 year old truck. I'd appreciate your input. Thanks much. -S DumpTruck.jpg

Not trying to be a smart #####, its worth what ever someone else is willing to pay for it.

I'd say try to list it for $5k, and if no one bites, remove the listing after a few weeks and keep relisting it for $500 less until you hit their sweet spot. Not saying its worth $5k,.. thats just where I would start. If you want to list it for more, go for it. You never know.

I think 5k isn't a bout place to start, I live in Henderson,NV there has been a 1961 I believe the year was, this truck looked like it be beatin to death with a sledge hammer, guy wants like $16000, it's been in the paper for ever, way to much for a beat up POS

Hey guys - I know it's been awhile since I last posted, but I wanted to give you an update, which will be my final post for this thread. I did what you guys suggested but I started higher, at $9,500. I put it on Craigslist for a few weeks with no takers. Then I dropped it to $7k and had a few people call. Sold it to first buyer to take a look, for $6,300. Thanks a ton for your advice! Take care. -S
