Just keep checking on it from time to time...call the number on the back of the citation...as to how much...every county has a different fee rate, and there is no place to find out what the rates are...just have to wait it out...sorry!

Well they lost the ticket it seems. And If I have to go through all this legal stuff it is going to be hard to afford that Harley Davidson. That really makes me mad!!:biggrin_25510:

This is what I really believed happened..I can not swear to it.I was supposed to be a city driver. but dispatch sent me to California via phoenix Az.Anyway the cracker- heads "The owners son" kept putting more pickups and drops on me than I could legaly run and when I told them I would be about 18 hours late to my delivery back east the bosses son over loaded me with freight on purpose then told me I would be OK at the scales in California so he could make a point."You Know" I'll get you back and you'll have too pay a ticket too . Of course California liked that idea and gave me a misdemeanor weight ticket. So now all you super truckers can tell me how I should handle this. Any D.O.T. cop replies are welcome!!!

I just got a notice from callyfornya, seems my company, in 2001 failed to pay an overweight ticket.

I now owe the state almost $500 .

So, be sure it is taken care of, and keep all the proof of payment !!!!

    Good Luck !!

You're lucky it's only $500... I had to pay $4600 after receiving a ticket at the Ehrenberg chickenhouse. Long saga, I'll try to condense it: storm kills 29 people; Railsplitter loads at Oriental warehouse in Chino, then attempts to run out from under storm; scales I normally use to weigh loads are out of service, with cones across entrances; wreck on off-ramp prevents jumping off in Coachella; computerized BOL says I'm under gross, and Orientals are supposed to be good at math, so I figure I'll run up on the Ehrenberg chickenhouse and slide tandems or pay over-axle ticket; D.O.T. cop tells me I'm 4600 lbs. over gross; fine works out to $1/lb. and AZ D.O.T. couldn't care less about 29 dead Californians, CA roads in a mess, etc., etc.; Railsplitter writes long letter to Governor Napolitano (same scrub now in higher office), pointing out all extenuating circumstances and including front page of L.A. Times showing death toll---no response. Railsplitter pays ticket but is not pleased about it.

    And you're worried about a lousy $500 fine?????? :biggrin_25523:

Smoking is good for kids. It coats their lungs with a nice coating of tar and keeps them from rusting out, especially if you live next to a salty ocean.

I'd also recommend kids 3 and up to drink at least a fifth of Wild Turkey every day. It coats your liver with a hard candy shell and keeps it from melting... wait... maybe that's M&M's... my bad.
