I took my truck to dealership in Colorado to fix fuel tank. Instead of dealership fixing fuel tank, they decided to work on engine. Dealership ruined engine. After I gave them five attempts to fix the problem they caused, I tried to get the dealership to let the engine manufacture fix their mishap. Dealership refused. My question is, do I have legal rights and recourse, or because I am a trucker, I have to lose everything I have worked, and sacrificed for and accept that truckers has no rights in this country?

I mean get a lawer, retain an attourney, and find out what your options are then put the screws to them. If they worked on something on your truck that you did not authorize they are in the wrong and thus liable.

It is like if you go to the doctor for proplems with your elbow and they amputate your foot.

no one here can give you the proper legal advice, in your situation retain an attourney, and if they mess around with you too much see if you can also get them for loss of income due to the truck being jacked up.

I work for a dealership and unless you signed something that states for them to work on the engine they don't have a leg to stand on. but every situation is different.

your regular hometown attorney that you use for wills, land deals, and such will suffice....this is a civil action suit not trucking rocket science....it will not take any special lawyer...hope this helps....btw what exactly did they do to the truck?circumstances?......

Dealership changed parts, readjusted engine timing wrong and did not tighten valve locks keepers.
The only thing that was needed on my truck was to fix the suction tube in my fuel tank.
