how to sue a repair shop

    Recently fixed my truck in Louisiana..the shop changed a cooling package, but didn't filled a transmision oil..so in 500 miles after I left the shop transmission broke. Would like to sue the shop for the repair costs...where to start? how is my chances to win the case? I am from Illinois so where do I need to fill a claim? Thanks
