I have read many posts about this, but, I think this is different. I am not a driver, I am a drivers wife. My husband told me at the beginning of the year the company he drives for wasn't paying for all the miles driven. About three months in they changed the policy to pay for miles driven. Now, after all of the drivers drove where they had to go for the last week, the company is not paying for all the miles driven. This happens whenever the company buys new trucks. This company changes policy whenever it suits them without telling the drivers. :biggrin_25513: Some are not getting paid up to $700! Isn't this theft? This doesn't seem legal to me. On the pay stubs it is there in black and white. The same routes being paid for different amounts at different times. Many of the drivers are very upset. Some have decided to quit. Some are refusing to drive. Should this be reported to the DOL? Is this the same thing that the person in PA is experiencing? I want to help, but, I am afraid of over stepping my boundaries. Any information would be appreciated. Thanks, Missava

Thats where I'd be, at the Labor board lookin for an unfair labor charge.
And if you can get some of the drivers together to start a class action

Welcome to the industry. Every mainstream OTR carrier does this. They do this so you're less tempted to deadhead off route and burn their fuel up.

What company is this? Why if all the company drivers are up in arms about this and are refusing to drive or quitting have we not heard from one of them on this board? The only thing we have to go on here is a supposed drivers wife with 1 post posting a bunch of hearsay!

Nothing personal but I would like specific details please so we can see what other drivers of this company who are members of this board have to say about it.

Thank you bbqhoncho and THBatMan8 for your help. I guess the labor board is the place to go to get answers. No thanks to reptij. You sound like a scary company man to me. Nothing personal? Hearsay? I am a driver's wife and I am very upset about what I have been told. I can only guess that none of the driver's are on here because the company they work for isn't union and they are afraid of losing their jobs. I can post without that fear since I don't work for these theives. What difference does it make reptij if I work there or not? All I wanted was a little advice/help/answers and I get the oh so common accusatory finger in the face. Blame the victim instead of lending a helping hand. I guess I would be more credible if I had posted 254 times in one month.

Lots of trolls around here just want to know you arent 1. Most of the company drivers on here are non union also this is an anonymous internet board. I wasnt blaming anyone just asking for specifics which your OP lacks lots of. Sorry you were so offended but I could care less, you say you are a truckers wife you would think you would have a thicker skin. You want advice on what to do about a specific company maybe other drivers from this company are already here and can more readily help out with that. But once again your op lacks far to much info.

I still don't understand you. It's couldn't care less, not could care less. I don't have thick skin so I don't drive, but, I have the right to care about what happens to my husband and his fellow truck drivers. You know you don't have any answers for me, so why not end this right here, okay? Me and my thin skin have had enough of the nonsense. I will take my question somewhere else. This is the problem with so many of these boards. Too many people without answers just bs.'

Gotta take the good with bad, like in all aspects of life...

In regard to the pay issue, has he approached the company, if so, what did they say?...
