I believe the answer is yes it will cause you problems. If you get pulled over and they run your licences it will come back suspended and you won't be able to leave until it is taken care of, plus you will be given a fine (I doubt they let you slide, to many issue's/accidents with drivers driving while on suspended licences). I would get with your company and see if they can get it fixed for you. They would be glad to help you I am sure to avoid them getting in trouble for you driving while suspended.

I didn't think you could get out of Canada with a suspended licences? I know we can't get in there with any issue's? Just curious about that.

You might get lucky and no one find out, but I would not take the chance for that to be on your record.
Again I am not 100% sure, but I would say I am pretty close to being right. Anyone correct me if I am wrong or reading it wrong (it is early)

Let's say you get a ticket in OHIO...it will affect your record in the state of California...so the answer is yes.

You bet it will.

Anyone issued a ticket in the United States is entered into the Commercial Driver's License Information System (CDLIS) database, which can be accessed by practically any law enforcement officer. Any suspensions in any state will likely be there as well.

Don't risk it any longer than you have to. Settle the fines. If you are arrested in another state, you will likely be fined in that state as well for operating a commercial vehicle with a suspended license. This is a serious violation, and your CDL could be suspended for up to a year.

I'm not sure about this, but you could be denied entry into the United States if this is found.

Take care of it, to avoid further complicating an already bad situation.

And for your own sake, I'd carry proof with you for at least five years, that the fines have been settled as soon as they are. These things have a way of not being taken care of in updates to the databases for years, once they have been entered in there.

I know Shifter's post is a little ripe, but I think its a valid question and worth discussion.

Canada and the United States have "reciprocity" regarding CDL's. That simply means that the U.S. respects the validity of Canadian CDL's and visa versa. Moreover, each of the individual states in the U.S. have reciprocity between one another. Thus, if your suspended in Canada your suspended in the U.S. If your a U.S. driver and your CDL is suspended in any one state, your suspended in every other state. Furthermore, you may not obtain a driver's license in any other state if your suspended in any one state. This is why you don't have to obtain a driver's license in each state.

Each state's driver's license is valid in every other state. The dictates for which driver's license you must obtain, completely depends upon your state of residence. Permitting a Canadian driver across the U.S. border binds the Canadian driver to "reciprocity" and visa versa.
