It looks like I might be using this service too. I got a 12 over in Nashville a week ago. They sat at the 65-55 transition point, one cop radioed ahead to another who busted me. One thing through...the cop said he wrote it down as a NON CDL violation.

I don't think that will help much. All ticket convictions have to be reported to the company. I guess he was trying to be nice, but your log will get you if you were in the truck.

Thx for the quick response! Yeah, I thought the same thing about the NON CDL comment.

Looks like there is going to be an increase in these types of stops. It is easy revenue for the city or state. Hopefully, they get the 4 wheelers as well.

It's just my opininion, but I think that Pre-Paid Legal does work. I have tried American Truckers Legal Association and I have seen the booths at the TA's advertising something called TVC Road Pro.

American Truckers Legal Association is in my opinion nothing but a ripoff as you do not get to actually speak to an attorney. All it is is nothing but a referal service that will charge you up the bing bong until it hurts and you won't get any kind of real quality legal advice or help from them.

I've never tried TVC Road Pro before, but they say that if you just stick their little sticker in your window, then the Ohio Bears won't mess with you, but in my opinion I think that is nothing but a load of b.s as the bears are going to mess with you no matter what and it is a lot better to have some sort of protection on your side to defend against all the crap that the bears and the DOT like to pull on you and that is not to mention all the crap that many of the trucking companies like to pull as well as your license is your meal ticket and in my opinion there is just no room to be taking any chances with your meal ticket.

I have been a member of Pre-Paid Legal for a long time and I have used it repeatedly time and time again to help me to get out of legal situations and to protect my legal rights and I can tell you for a fact that Pre-Paid Legal does work and as a result I have decided to sign up to be an independent representative of the company because it is something that my father who is an attorney has suggested to me over the years and it is because of him that I became a member of Pre-Paid Legal.

I can't say as to how well the CDLP plan works as that is something new that they have just come out with, but if it is like the rest of their services then it ought to be good and well worth both the time and the investment, especially if it helps to protect both your job, your DAC report, and your meal ticket and I can tell you from experience that most companies can and do lie through their teeth and now because of my most recent employer who has messed up my DAC report big time I am going to have a difficult time finding any company that is willing to hire me OTR and that is actually fine with me because I am sick and tired of driving OTR and I miss the idea of being able to actually get out and have something called a real life again.

I just thought that I would share with you my opinion of Pre-Paid Legal and all of the other legal plans that I have seen as well as what my experience has been with them. It's up to you to decide for yourself if it is worth it or not and as to how important your meal ticket is to you because now in today's day and age these bears and all of the muncipalities are just out for one thing and that is to collect as much money from you as they possibly can and if they have to break something on your truck or trailer or if they have to falsify any of your or their documents to get that money from you, then you can be darn straight that they will do it because to them it is nothing but a business and to them you are nothing but a rolling billboard just screaming to be pulled over at any time just so that they can find some excuse to mess with you and make your life just as miserable as they possibly can and that is especially true in states like California, New York, Illinois, Ohio, and Michigan because for some reason they just hate us with a passion and so far I have never figured out as to why they hate us.

All that I know is that dogs tend to have more rights than we do and when it comes to our livelihood we need to be doing everything that we can to protect ourselves because it is one heck of a wild and wooley jungle out there. That's just my opinion.

Robert.
