Ticket confusion

Hey everyone thanks in advance any advice is much appreciated lol. I am fresh out of school and am out with my trainer.. Earlier today I was going through a little hole in the wall town in Kansas which did not show restricted in the 2014 rand McNally or on my trainers gps.. I seen a sign that said Alt. truck route but I assumed that it was just a bypass around the town seeing as there was no other signage.. I was in a 2012 international which is registered in indiana my license is currently issued in indiana as well.. When I got to the shipper I looked over the citation a little closer, he recorded that I was driving a 2014 freightliner cascadia that was licensed in Iowa and my DL was issued in Iowa also he wrote the trailor tag rather than the truck.. My question is from your experience will this citation be legit since the only correct info was the date and charge lol. And if it is legit will this effect my mvr or CSA.. The fine was/is $100 which I will pay gladly but I just wanted to know if this is going to effect me in the long run. I will add that he was ticked off apparently he followed me a good distance dead center of my trailor doors a few feet off the bumper and asked why I didn't see him lol. Again thanks

I was just west of el derado ks and when I said hole in the wall in was more of a reference to there being absolutely nothing there lol.. Sorry to tip off your bs detector? Lol and this is my 4 week, my trainer was actually not in the sleeper he was in the passenger seat he did not see any signage either thanks got all the comments lol. Well see how it plays out

 

This is a really old post but thought I'd give an update it played out kind of funny.. basically I thought I would try calling the court house explain the discrepancies and try to get it dismissed.. the police station turned out to be the court house.. and the only person that has the authority to dismiss a citation was the citing officer..lol. upon hearing this I checked to be sure there would be no points on my cdl and mailed a check.. turns out my original description.. a little hole in the wall town was accurate.. you can imagine the look on my face when I called the courthouse and got the police dispatch I had spoken to moments earlier lol.
