Dot stop in penns.

I got pulled into a DOT STOP in pennsylvania in june of this year. It was a level 2 stop. I am from New York state. I was pulled out of service for improper description of hazardous material. I corrected the problem before I moved said vehicle.

In the repair of vehicle out of service defects I think I was suppose to sign this before I moved said Vehicle.
I am still somewhat confused by the wording of the report. There is no out of service number in the vehicle identifcation area. Yet there is a y in the OOS area of the violation section.

At the bottom of report in the CARRIER CERTIFICATION: the undersigned certifies that all violations on this have been corrected ect.

According to my company safety cordinator he did sign his part and sent the form in and the tickets were paid by the company. He told me that with him signing the report the company is responsible for anything else that might happen.

In October, I was going threw my brief case and found a copy of the report and started reading it over agian. I called the safety guy at my company and asked if anybody signed the repairer part of the report.

It was blank.

no tickets were issued to me on date of dot inspection.

as far as I know, the only tickets that there were, were sent to the company

my drivers license # is on the report but not my address is not

I was told by few people, that if they were going to persue me for anything that i would of heard something by now. Is this true or not.

I do not want to get pulled over and find out the hard way some day that this was not done properly.

My company told me not to worry. I am still losing sleep over this.

DOT

now what the driver said about getting a copy of your dmv is good advice although its true nothing will come of it if a ticket was issued it should have been done by the dot at the time of the incident but you got to remember the DOT IS NOT BY ANY MEANS YOUR FRIEND and all cops lie better to be safe the sorry.
good luck to you.---southernpride
