If your a resident of IA you end up paying school district tax. I live in CA, but last years payroll was IA so I did not pay because Im a Non- Resident

I live in ohio but my employer is Indiana-based. I know I wouldn't have to pay state or local in indiana, but I'm trying to figure out if I have to pay Ohio school district tax for the district I reside in, if my income was earned from an employer in another state.

No only in the state you reside in.

Yes. When you file your taxes in Ohio there is a box that asks you what school district you live in. Dont mess around with this the Ohio Attorney General will eat you alive with penalties.
