The mileage rate includes gas. When i was an O/O I kept a notebook in my pickup.. Anytime I went into town to do any truck business I wrote down the mileage and reason for the trip (pick up parts, etc). New notebook every year. Old kept with my tax records for that year.

    TruckerPete1990 Thanks this.

OK, so you're an O/O ? Correct ? And you bought a truck somewhere, went to get it in your Honda Civic, and somehow get 'paid" .57 CPM to do so ?

That's his mileage deduction for his taxes, (he could have worded it better)
I'm a company driver and deducted mileage in my personal vehicle, ( not the cost of the gas)
