my boyfriend and i are trying to get a truck but we both have horrible credit, and no money to put down for a down payment on a truck. We have exhausted all the loan company's and anyone and everyone we could think of to possibly do this. Does anyone know a way we could get a truck?? we are more than willing to get an older model truck. thank you for any help you can give.

cow girl i wish i could help you but i dont no of any that will finance with bad credit, banks never have liked to finance a truck even with good credit and in this econamy its going to be tough any where the credit market is pretty still locked up tight .

i have done some research on this quite a bit and thus far no good results but id like to give you a word of caution.

in these economic times there a lot of so called truck dealers that say they will do a lot to get you hooked they tell you they will do a lot till you start to deal then you find out its a bait and switch one such dealer is truck discount in pa, they promise no credit financeing, and they will help with insurance and permits but when it comes down to it you find the only truck you qualify for is an old int with 4000.00 down, hell the truck isent worth 1000.00 , and there are others so be careful i doubt you can afford to lose more money.

the best of luck to you.-----southernpride:biggrin_25513:

lol well its an older model i don't know all the exact details as i'm not good with numbers but i know we will have it paid off in at the max 6 months and that's making bare minimum payments. i think its a rent to own program, the truck price is $6000. He doesn't have to give any testicle lol i think it's some deal where its a low interest rate for the first 6 months than it jumps up dramatically.

I think starting out broke is a bad idea, the cost of the truck is going to be least of your worries. I would drive for a company and save every dime you can until you have a little money in the bank.

some pionts to ponder from an O/O

    6 minimum payments= payoff

    ok its a 6k truck

    is it roadworthy?
    when was the last DOT?
1898? is it a cabover flatop?
    how are the tires?
    brakes?
    powertrain?
    power-steering?
    A/C?
what kind of rear suspension......walking beams?
can you afford a minor breakdown?
    a MAJOR?
    do the lights work?
    does it have windows?

seriously if you are scrounging to make a $1200 down payment...........go back to your company job and save some money

a flat tire will run between $200 an $800
anything more than that and you are SOL

I'm not trying to berate you in the least, but i feel you should be at least alittle knowledgeable of the deep, finiancial DIRE straits you are about to get yourself into.............
alot of experianced O/O's are failing.......
you have noone that i know of, yet you think you will.........

sorry if this comes off as brash, but in today's economy, you better know what your doing, or be ready to lose your azzhat
