I have $7000.00 cash and i want to become a owner operator. I live in atlanta ga. I had a bankruptcy in 2005, since then i have been able to get my three credit scores up to ranging from 639, 650 and 670. I want to buy a tractor and drive it myself. I am seeking information or advice on what to do next in my efforts to be successful?

Honestly, put the $7000 in an intrest bearing account and become a company driver.

WHY? Just bank the 7 Gs like some said and become a company driver. If things don't work out you turn in your truck and be done and gone.

I have owner operator friends who are losing their ###es out there as we speak.

    $7000?

Step one, open garage door, step out on driveway.
Step two, dump money in trash can.
    Step three, strike match
Step four, throw match in trash can.

    Step 5, go back inside.

    There, you're an Owner/Op.

Now where's that member with the trucks for $350 -$395 a month ? $7,000 will take care of the insurance .

if you are 46 put the most you can in an IRA CD and then put the rest in savings, then become a company driver.

Give me the money, get a job a Walmart. At the end of the year both of us will have more money that if you bought a truck.
